About Us

The La Torricella restaurant offers authentic local cuisine prepared directly by the owner, Carolina, with typical Tuscan dishes imported from the family tradition based on homemade pasta, mushrooms and meat. The house specialities range from traditional appetizers such as Tuscan liver crostini to those revisited in a modern key such as melted pecorino terrines seasoned to your liking. The first courses are homemade and rolled with a rolling pin. You can taste traditional Casentino potato Tortelli or Aunt Cesarina's nettle gnocchi in walnut sauce. Tuscan meats, cured meats and cheeses complete the rich choice of dishes that satisfy all palates. The dessert menu is very extensive, and Roberta personally handles the preparation. You can taste the typical Tuscan cantucci, the creamy panna cotta with almonds and pine nuts, a crumbly grandmother's cake, the traditional milkman and many other tasty desserts. The restaurant is part of the AIC (Italian Celiac Association) circuit. Gluten-free tortelli, ravioli and tagliatelle are prepared at home. There is also excellent gluten-free bread and pizza. Expert chefs rigorously prepare everything. The wine list is highly sought, and the cellar mainly offers Tuscan wines. However, there are also other prestigious labels from other regions.
